STATEMENT OF FAITH

  • We believe in one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy  Spirit. He is the creator of all things, both visible and invisible, and his attributes are perfect,  eternal, and unchanging.

    • Essence of God: One Triune God (Deut. 6:4–5; Matt. 28:19)

    • Natural Attributes: Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent, Eternal, Immutable, Self Existent

  • We believe God reveals Himself as Father, eternally the Father of the Son and the adoptive  Father of believers through Christ (John 1:12–13).

  • We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, fully God and fully man. He was born of a  virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, and rose on the third day for our salvation. He  ascended into heaven and will return to judge the living and the dead (John 1:1; Heb. 1:6–9).

  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, who proceeds from the Father and the Son, is co-eternal with  them, and is active in creation and redemption. He convicts the world of sin, regenerates  believers, empowers them, and sanctifies the Church (John 15:26; Acts 1:8).

  • We believe humans are created in the image of God, with body and spirit, male and female,  and are inherently valuable because of God’s creation of them. Humanity fell through sin,  resulting in separation from God and a sinful nature inherited from Adam (Gen. 1:26–27;  Rom. 5:12).

  • We believe sin is rebellion against God. It corrupts every aspect of human life and leads to  eternal separation from God without His saving intervention (Rom. 3:23; Rom. 6:23).

  • We believe salvation is by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ. It includes justification,  conversion, regeneration, adoption, and election, all accomplished by God without violating  human will (Eph. 2:8–9; Rom. 8:33).

  • We believe sanctification is both positional (we are made holy in Christ) and progressive  (we grow in holiness throughout life). It is the work of the Holy Spirit as believers submit to  God’s Word (1 Pet. 1:16; 2 Cor. 3:18).

  • We believe in the universal Church and the local church as Christ’s body. Church members  are called to regular gatherings, baptism, giving, serving, and mutual accountability (Heb.  10:25; Acts 2:41).

  • We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible,  and inerrant Word of God. They were written by human authors under the guidance of the  Holy Spirit and are the final authority for faith and life. The Bible is sufficient, clear, and  trustworthy in all matters it addresses. (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:20; Rom. 15:4).

  • We believe in Spirit-empowered Christian living that includes:

    • Prayer (Eph. 6:18)

    • Bible Study (2 Tim. 3:16–17)

    • Discipleship (Matt. 28:19)

    • Evangelism (Rom. 10:14)

    • Communion (1 Cor. 11:23–26)

    • Church Unity (1 Cor. 12:12)

  • Reach Church is led by qualified elders/pastors and deacons (1 Tim. 3). We believer church  discipline is practiced according to Matthew 18 to uphold holiness, unity, and love (Matt.  18:15–17).

    • Spiritual Gifts: Still active and for the edification of the Church (1 Cor. 12)

    • Complementarianism: Leadership roles of elder/pastor are for qualified men (1 Tim. 3:2)

    • Believer’s Baptism: The practice of water immersion when someone can make a credible  profession of faith. It is a symbolic act of repentance and union with Christ (Acts 2:41) - Sovereignty in Salvation: Room for varied views (Calvinism/Arminianism)

    • Alcohol: Not inherently sinful; wisdom and sensitivity encouraged (Rom. 14)

    • Communion: Regular remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice.

  • Mission: Reach the unsaved, restore the broken, and release believers to their purpose in  Christ.

Vision: Transform the world through the gospel, one life at a time. - Core
